Tomorrow Travis and I are taking off with the dogs to Jasper for 6 great days of hiking, backgammon, and general sloth. There's nothing like a walk in the mountains to justify all kinds of laziness and over eating the other 20 hours in a day!
The day after we get back I'll be heading down to Louanne's and from there we'll head to Klamath Falls Oregon for the USBCHA Finals. Louanne qualified with Isla this year. It's my official duty to drag her to the post after she's done throwing up. ;-)
The point that I'm slowly getting at, is that I'm not going to near my laptop much for the next few weeks, which probably means there won't be much in the way of blogging going on. I'll be back in October and I MIGHT blog somehow between now and then.
I'm sure this will really effect how you fill your day. Yep, you won't know what to do with yourselves. Start counting the days...till I'm back. OK enough, I'm going.

I had Kate spayed this week. The surgery went fine, however Thursday night things started to look a little "off" and by Friday morning she had a full blown infection. After a trip back to vet for a check ("yes she certainly does have an infection and my doesn't that look uncomfortable") and some drugs, we headed back home to start our long weekend. While Kate is doing much better now that she's on antibiotics she's still feeling pretty darned uncomfortable. I could put an elizabethan collar on her, but that's no way for a girl to enjoy the labour day weekend. So instead I set her up with a nifty set of PJ's. She'll wear them until things have settled back down and she'll still be able to enjoy such post health crisis pursuits as "milking as much sympathy as possible" and "getting fat on all of the extra tidbits and chewies an invalid requires".
